The So Teriyaki with free-range chicken, teriyaki sauce, brown rice, kale, cabbage, carrots, edamame, sesame and some crispy shallots was well-executed and surprisingly nutrient dense.
I’m just disappointed that they don’t showcase their entire Essendon location menu at their CBD outpost so for my “save until later” dinner dish, I opted to create my own. Would love to see them introduce falafels and maybe even sides of poached eggs and/or some lightly toasted GF pita bread to really make these bowls meal-worthy without the need for a side of fries.
At almost $20 a bowl, it’s not a Melbourne Cheap Eats but it will have you leaving recharged, refueled and satisfied until dinner.
It’s ultimately a quick grab-and-go lunch spot for the city busy bee, delivered in sustainable packaging, that will leave you feeling good about both your lunch and life choices.
– Mr G (Free-range chicken, halloumi, cos lettuce, herbed potato, olive, roasted capsicum, cucumber, red onion, hummus, garlic sauce, parsley & lemon dressing)
– Superfood Salmon bowl (Grilled salmon, brown rice, cabbage, kale, seaweed salad, edamame, red onion, toasted sesame, crispy shallots & miso sesame dressing)
Service was fast especially as it was during peak, weekday lunch time. Loved the outdoor seating especially on a warm spring day.
I had the Burrito Bowl and was not disappointed.
